Assassin’s Creed Origins DLC Trailer Reveals New Release Date

Ready to head to the Egyptian Underworld? Assassin’s Creed Origins DLC, Curse of the Pharaohs, will allow you to do just that. Heavy on the supernatural, and even heavier on the brutal kills, you’ll be pleased to know that the game’s second major DLC pack is coming very soon.

The expansion, which hits Xbox One, PS4 and PC on March 13, sees Bayek head to Thebes to investigate a mystery. Along the way, he comes in contact with undead Pharoahs and an unravelling conspiracy. No mummy jokes here, just plain ol’ murderous monarchs.

It’s clear judging by the trailer (which you can see below) that Ubisoft has had a lot of fun letting loose in second big batch of Assassin’s Creed Origins DLC. Gone are the many guards to slaughter; in its place, are, well, scorpions the size of horses. Those who suffer from arachnophobia – which includes scorpions, I looked it up – might want to give this one a wide berth. For the rest of us, we’ll revel in a game that’s set in Ancient Egypt and finally decides to lean more on mythology. It’s like Kratos and a sphinx had a giant, god-killing baby.

In the Assassin’s Creed Origins DLC, you’ll also be headed to the iconic Valley of the Kings, where you’ll find further freakish foes, including birds with human heads, and plenty more in the way of nightmare fuel. You won’t be cowering in the corner, though: your level cap will be extended to 55, and there’s plenty of new trinkets, weapon and armor to play around with.

Curse of the Pharoahs can be accessed if you have purchased the season pass, or can be bought separately.
