Check out this photo of the Tekken Tag Tournament 2 bus I took on my PlayStation Vita, because I'm a nerd like that. The inside is a posh white interior with soft couches and a bartending nook. What more could you ask for? The bus will be at PAX too!
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (which can be abbreviated TTTT, I suppose) will come with the World Tekken Federation (which can be abbreviated WTF, I suppose) free at launch, a web-based community site that will primarily allow players to track numerical statistics of their online matches in the title.
I can't divulge many of the details of this new feature due to an embargo. But on the surface level, the World Tekken Federation will let hardcore fighters improve their skills through not only hard data, but also the creation of teams with friends and compete in online events.
Carlson Choi, Vice President of Marketing for Namco Bandai Games America, hopes that this will build the fighting prowess of all Tekken fans and potentially help the title be accepted into the high eschelon of fighting e-Sports:
With Tekken Tag Tournament 2, the team is committed to providing an unparalleled fighting game experience and are proving our dedication to this effort by offering World Tekken Federation free of charge to everyone who buys a copy of the game.Bringing together TEKKEN fans from around the globe in such a robust online community is a first for the fighting game genre and will give veterans and beginners a chance to develop their fighting skills in an exciting new way
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will launch in two weeks on September 11, 2012.
