Red Dead Redemption 2

Red Dead Redemption 2 Release Date May Have Been Leaked

Red Dead Redemption 2‘s release date may have been leaked, with a retailer posting its listing for the upcoming Western game including a launch date of June 8th, 2018.

Though retailers often use placeholder dates for upcoming games, the Danish retailer CoolShop has prior history of outing the release dates of highly anticipated games, including Rockstar’s own Grand Theft Auto V. This makes the date featured on its listing more credible, with it possibly letting us in on some insider information.

Despite the listing having now done the rounds, CoolShop has yet to remove it from Red Dead Redemption 2‘s page on its site. Rockstar typically makes a big deal out of its release date announcements, so if this is when its upcoming game will launch, then it seems that the retailer has unwittingly let this info slip through the grapevine.

Red Dead Redemption 2 will be the successor to the critically-acclaimed PS2/Xbox 360 game, with Rockstar describing it as “an epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland” with a “vast and atmospheric world.” The game was originally scheduled to release this year, but was pushed back to Spring 2018 by in order to ensure that Rockstar could provide the “best possible experience” for its players.
