Twitch Streamer Suspended for Sexist Rant, Says Site is “Run by the Same Sl**s Who Used to Reject Us”

Twitch streamer TrainwrecksTV has been temporarily suspended from the site after filming himself ranting about female streamers to his viewers, calling them “the same sl**s who rejected us.”

TrainwrecksTV, who has over 40,000 followers on the site, only received a reported 5-day ban from the streaming site for his vile and sexist rant. In the clip, which swiftly started doing the rounds on social media, the streamer said:

“I’m sick of all the bullsh** happening in this community. This used to be a community of gamers, nerds, kids that got bullied, kids that got f***ed with. Kids that resorted to the gaming world because the real world is too f***ing hard, too sh***y, too lonely, too sad and depressing. Now it’s ran by the goddamn same sl**s that rejected us, the same sl**s that chose the goddamn f***ing cool kids over us. The same sl**s that are coming into our community, taking the money, taking the subs the same way they did back in the day. F*** that, I am the goddamn f***ing reality check. I am the goddamn f***ing king and I will lead you.”

In another clip of the same stream, TrainwrecksTV continues making abhorrent, sexist remarks. He continued:

“We f*** a girl good, we leave her that way. Put the p***y where it belongs, on the f***ing ground, on the f***ing couch, you don’t put it on a pedestal. Not in this f***ing stream. You don’t put that s*** on a pedestal, that s*** belongs on the ground motherf***er! Get that s*** in your head! And if you’re sick of it, if you’re sick of it too, you’re sick of all the goddamn white knights, that sit there and defend, remember that they do nothing. They get abused by the same girls.”

TrainwrecksTV later revealed that he had received a temporary ban for the videos, totalling in at 5 days. Many have called for Twitch to review their decision, and to hit the streamer with a more severe punishment considering the content of his stream.

The streamer later tweeted that the video was “satire,” a point somewhat undermined that he had been simultaneously retweeting followers who agreed with him, along with further elaborating upon his points.

After receiving his ban, TrainwrecksTV posted his inevitable apology statement. “I’d like to apologize to all those that were negatively affected by my actions, in no way was this content meant to demean, bash, or hate on the entirety of the female community,” he wrote. “There are amazing female streamers that provide great content, it was not my intention to discredit them all in any way, and I understand that this content did exactly that, and I am embarrassed.

“With all of this being said, I want to reiterate that none of this justifies, or excuses my behavior and actions. I take full responsibility, and I want to apologize to Twitch, Twitch Staff, and most of all to those that I have offended including the entire community.”

Regardless of whether or not Twitch will seek further action against TrainwrecksTV, that the streamer initially only received a 5 day ban for his awful remarks is indicative of the site’s incredibly nonchalant attitude to dealing with this sort of behavior. Twitch is a breeding ground for toxicity online, but while allowing its comment sections to devolve into sexist and bigoted rhetoric is one thing, only giving a streamer a slap on the wrist for calling the site’s female streamers “goddamn sl**ts” is a completely different ball game.
