Hitman: Absolution PC Supports DirectX 11 And Steamworks

When the PC version of a multiplatform title is given the attention it deserves, the results speak for themselves. This time around Agent 47 is at the helm.

While demonstrating the upcoming Hitman: Absolution at gamescom 2012, Jonas Meyer of IO Interactive shared that the PC version will fully support DirectX 11 out of the box. Technologies such as Tesselation, Bokeh, and Eyefinity will be exclusive to the PC platform and enhance what is an already visually impressive experience.

Meyer went as far as to say the following:

Hitman’s suit looks ten times more awesome on PC.

DirectX 11 isn't the only upside of buying the PC version, either. Hitman: Absolution will launch with Valve Steamworks support providing cloud saves, achievements, and community features.

Why this is uncommon is beyond my comprehension, but IO Interactive has earned some brownie points for giving the PC community some love. Nothing's worse than having modern hardware but not being able to take advantage of it, ala Dark Souls.
