Former Big Huge Games Devs Form Impossible Studios

Epic Games absorbed the developers from the now defunct Big Huge Games shortly after the studio's demise. Now these devs have formed their own studio under the Epic umbrella called Impossible Studios, and their first project is to create Infinity Blade: Dungeons for iOS along with both Epic and ChAIR Entertainment. Epic Games proudly made this announcement this morning via press release.

Impossible Studios devs' resumes include Rise of Nations, Catan, Age of Empires 3: The Asian Dynasties, and Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. The team is led by Sean Dunn, former director of Big Huge Games. In many ways, the band is back together, just with a different logo on the bass drum.

"Epic Games has truly embraced this stellar collection of developers who were displaced by the closing of Big Huge Games," Dunn said. "They have looked after us with complete care, giving us all the tools and resources we need to make a lot of gamers happy."

After the disaster that was 38 Studios' crash earlier this year, it's great that one studio has been given a chance to rise from the ashes.
