Silent Hill HD Collection Gets Patched Five Months After Release

Silent Hill HD Collection was frightening… frighteningly buggy. But that's nothing that a patch five months down the road can't address, right?

Konami has released a patch for Silent Hill HD Collection to address frame rate inconsistency and audio bugs that have plagued the game since launch. The catch is that only the PlayStation 3 version has received the fixes, while the Xbox 360 update has been scrapped indefinitely.

If anything this is a sympathy patch, as even though HD Collections are intended to be the best edition of a popular franchise the Silent Hill HD Collection was far from it. Severe technical issues are no laughing matter, especially when they kill the atmosphere that Silent Hill is renowned for.

If you own the PlayStation 3 version be sure to download the update, which is available now. However, if you own the Xbox 360 version feel free to head to your local pharmacy and pick up some tissue. Sorry, but you're out of luck on this one.
