New 2DS XL Pokeball Edition Announced

The New 2DS XL Pokeball Edition was unveiled during today’s Nintendo Direct presentation, revealing a special version of the handheld console created in preparation of Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon.

The special edition of the New 2DS XL is, as its name suggests, styled like the Pokeball used to catch Pokemon in the popular RPG series. We called the New 2DS XL the “most refined Nintendo console ever” in our review, but it looks a whole lot better when decked out in red and white.

However, the US has drawn the short straw, as Japan will also be receiving a special Pikachu edition of the console that will not be available in the west.
