Resident Evil 7: Gold Edition Debuts This December With Remaining DLC and New Content

If you missed out on the best Resident Evil game since Resident Evil 5, it’s time you make some space in your schedule to give Resident Evil 7 a try. Now’s the best time to do so, with the advent of Resident Evil 7: Gold Edition, which is debuting with both physical and digital editions on December 12 this year. You’ll be able to catch it on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

Of note, the Resident Evil 7: Gold Edition comes packing all of the original content that the main game came with, including both “Banned Footage Vol. 1” and “Banned Footage Vol. 2” in addition to the free “Not a Hero” downloadable content that’s been promised to gamers since the game made its debut earlier this year. But there’s one more piece of content that’ll be coming with the game as well, in the form of the “End of Zoe” content pack, which is meant to offer a look into what Zoe’s fate will end up being in-game.

Without spoiling too much, Zoe’s role in the story was left a little open-ended, so this chunk of gameplay is supposed to be a “shocking installment” where according to Capcom “players will face off against new enemies and explore new swamp-filled areas.” “End of Zoe” will be available separately for purchase for anyone who already owns the original game.

“Not a Hero” will finally be making its debut, which follows veteran BSAA soldier Chris Redfield after the events that took place in Resident Evil 7. Chris is now a member of New Umbrella, and along with his new team Chris must counteract a brand new threat. It sounds ominous, which is code for “awesome” in the world of Resident Evil 7.

You’ll be able to play both “End of Zoe” and “Not a Hero” in VR with PlayStation 4, along with “nearly all content” from the rest of the game as well. So if playing through the game in VR made your knees go weak, you’ll definitely get to do it all again with the new content when it arrives in December.

See it all go down in the new announcement trailer below.
