Watch: Destiny 2 Launch Trailer Drops, Confirming Release Date

Destiny 2 is one of the summer season’s hottest upcoming releases, and that heat has just reached a new peak with the release of the Destiny 2 launch trailer. The trailer shows off a series, yet playful tone, as its main character so cavalierly reacts to the threat of imminent danger. You’ll also get a close look at what seems to be the main villain in Destiny 2. You can watch the launch trailer below:

There was speculation in the last few days of a possible Destiny 2 delay, for no other reason that the lack of a “gone gold” announcement. Those rumors were put to bed with the launch trailer release, which once again confirms a Sept. 6 release date for PS4 and Xbox One, and an Oct. 24 release date for PC.

The Destiny 2 Open Beta for PC begins August 29, with uncapped framerates and 4K capability. So those worried that the PC version will be lower-quality or not as stable will get their opportunity to test it first hand. The Beta for PS4 and Xbox One took place earlier this year.
