Yesterday, to compliment the level editor video released on the PlayStation blog, Queasy and Sony saw fit to reveal that Sound Shapes, a cross-platform game for the PS3 and PlayStation Vita, would provide a platinum trophy for determined players.
Once you've completed the single-player campaign, you'll be able to flip over to "b-sides," challenging levels that require to collect notes in a single-screen challenge. That'll put your platforming skills to the test, but for the musically inclined, Sound Shapes will also offer up Beat School.
Beat School has you listening to a developer-created beat and then tasks you with recreating it as faithfully as possible. These might be the jumping off point for creators looking for inspiration in their own Sound Shapes levels.
Sound Shapes is set for an August 7th launch on the PSN for $14.99 ($11.99 for PS+ subscribers).
