A new update for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is always a good thing, but that doesn’t mean it’s perfect. This time around players are complaining about “bad lag”, ranging from sound issues to rubber-banding that significantly affects gameplay.
It hasn’t been confirmed what is causing the issue, but developer Bluehole has published a tweet confirming that it’s located the source.
We believe we have tracked the source of the server lag seen today. This will not be an easy fix, so please bear with us.
Given that it says it won’t be an “easy fix”, chances are we might have to wait a few days before the problem is resolved.
These issues were reported during the beta, although many players pointed toward the overloaded servers as the cause. It appears that it’s much more than that, requiring adjustment of code to resolve.
Today’s update has a lot of great things to offer players, including a new first-person only game mode that has become incredibly popular. There are also new vanity items to celebrate PUBG‘s eSports debut.
