Take-Two Interactive Dodges Red Dead Redemption 2 PC Question

After the release of Take-Two Interactive’s quarterly financial results release, they had, as is customary, a conference call where various outlets can ask questions to be answered about upcoming releases or financial outlooks. Of course, questions about Red Dead Redemption 2 would be asked, and, of course, people would want to know if Take-Two had any plans to eventually release Red Dead Redemption 2 PC release, after it was revealed late last year that the game would only be coming to PS4 and Xbox One.

When the question was asked (Any consideration for Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC?), it was initially asked as the second part of a two-part question. After answering the first part, there was just silence. When pressed again about Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC, Take-Two only said “You know, any updates about any of our titles will come from our labels.”

Despite completely dodging the question, Take-Two Interactive later asserted, in response to an unrelated question, that they really value the PC market. “The PC market is vibrant for us. It’s a core market, a predominantly digital market. So, for us, the PC market is very important and something we really focus on.”

However, they said whether or not they value PC “really depends on the title,” and that PC releases are handled on a “title-by-title basis,” seemingly cognizant of the Red Dead Redemption 2 PC elephant in the room, but not wanting to explicitly state it.
