In preparation of launch, EA is planning to host a large-scale beta for Star Wars Battlefront 2. Beginning on October 4th, all pre-orders will be invited at no additional cost for two days of exclusivity. On October 6th the beta will open to the public for three full days.
In the beta, players will be able to playtest two game modes. One will be Galactic Assault on Naboo, a visually vibrant world that’s home to Gungan. In this game mode two teams of 20 players will face off with vehicles, heroes, and classes in a way similar to the previous Star Wars Battlefront beta. In addition, Starfighter Assault will be playable, offering fans their first time to play a space battle centric experience.
As noted in our E3 coverage, Star Wars Battlefront 2 is making big moves to address concerns made by players regarding the first game. Perhaps most notably, priced expansions won’t be a part of the game plan, and this time around a lot of content is being delivered on day one.
The Star Wars Battlefront 2 beta will be available to all platforms, including PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
