Marvel’s Spider-Man and Assassin’s Creed Origins Were the Most Viewed Trailers at E3 This Year

With E3 concluded and general debates on winners and losers just about wrapped up, detailed analysis and number-crunching can finally, truly commence. YouTube kicked off the proceedings just recently, publishing data concerning game trailer views on its site during E3 2017.

Comfortably atop the list is Marvel’s Spider-Man, its generally jaw-dropping (and Arkham-esque) footage totalling around 12.5 million total views as of June 18th (the cutoff point for YouTube’s competitive E3 2017 tallies). Taking up the mantle in second place is Assassin’s Creed Origins‘ World Premiere Gameplay Trailer, something I personally would not have expected to be a runaway trailer success. Clearly it found a way to resonate with both showgoers and clamoring fans alike.

Rounding out the top five are more familiar faces, with Star Wars Battlefront 2 in third, God of War in fourth, and Nintendo sneaking in with Super Mario Odyssey at the number five spot, racking up over seven million views. The full list and view-tallies from YouTube’s own June 18th reporting can be found here, while the latest up-to-the-minute numbers can be tracked by viewing the respective trailers on YouTube directly. Playlists are your friend.
