A New Harvest Moon Game Is Coming To PS4, PC, And Switch

Harvest Moon: Light of Hope is the latest game to join the world's original farm simulator series. Developed by Rising Star Games, this 20th anniversary celebration of agricultural simulation bears great influence from the SNES-era titles.

Harvest Moon: Light of Hope will feature all the game elements that fans look for: growing crops, tending livestock, and material gathering. But it will also include a full story that begins with the protagonist being shipwrecked by a monsoon.

Although details are scarce, what we do know is the title has a multiplatform release planned; not only a PS4 version, but also a port for PC and Switch.

The timing of this huge franchise move by Natsume appears to be in response to Stardew Valley, which one year ago became the genre's biggest release in more than a decade with more than three million copies sold on PC alone.

Natsume also plans to re-release Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life Special Edition and Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland for PS4, in addition to Harvest Moon 64 for Wii U.

Harvest Moon: Light of Hope currently has no anticipated release window.
