Star Fox Dev Likens Miyamoto To A Friendlier Steve Jobs

The man you see on stage grinning from ear-to-ear as he plays with a stuffed red Pikmin isn't the same Miyamoto behind the scenes, according to Q-Games founder Dylan Cuthbert, the developer behind many of Nintendo's Star Fox titles.

During a fan Q&A on GAME's Facebook, the developer explained that Miyamoto's "private face is different to his public face," adding that "his style of chasing ideas and cutting through bulls*** is brilliant. Internally he's kind of like a slightly more friendly Steve Jobs, but just as cutting."

With regards to Star Fox on Wii U, Cuthbert said he has many ideas on where he'd like to take the series, but ultimately it comes down to what Nintendo decides to do. "Those questions are best geared towards Miyamoto," he explained. "I know what I'd try and do with that tech, but at the end of the day, the ball's in Nintendo's court. I like to work on a variety of games, or life gets a little boring! Star Fox is a great world and series of characters, and one day I'd definitely like to go back to it and expand it further."

Here's hoping his ideas for Star Fox on Wii U hold up to the high standards of Mr. Miyamoto. Otherwise, he will CUT YOU DOWN.
