Dragon’s Dogma Sequel In The Works

Capcom's RPG Dragon's Dogma has been a surprising (and welcome) success, and it looks like it has been so successful, it warrants a sequel. At least, that is what Capcom has told its investors in Japan. More specifically, Capcom is "nuturing" the game into a franchise.

According to Capcom's recent press release, Dragon's Dogma has shipped (not sold) over a million copies worldwide, making it the studio's 55th title to do so. "Dragon's Dogma is part of Capcom's basic strategy of establishing game franchises through the creation of new brancds. This game was developed with the goal of creating another pillar of earnings for Capcom alongside Monster Hunter and Sengoku Basara," Capcom said.

You can't get much more blunt than that.

Dragon's Dogma is in my must-play list for this summer, but I've heard nothing but good things about it. For those who have played it, are you looking forward to a sequel?
