Black Ops Map Pack To Escalate Things In May

If you've only got the budget for a few games a year, your best bet is to maximize the amount of playtime you can get out of each game. Call of Duty fans probably know this better than anyone. Whether you haven't reached your first prestige or you've managed to pwn enough newbs to climb the ladder 7 times over already, your financial situation will determine how much you're willing to drop on a couple new maps.

That debate will rage on in May when Xbox Live will see the release of the second Black Ops map pack. Escalation will bring four new multiplayer maps to the table.

Hotel sets players on the roof of a luxury hotel in Cuba with old Havana providing the background. Convoy will put player in close-quarters in a US military zone. Zoo will set players down in a Soviet Russian Zoo; no word on any animals left roaming the grounds yet. Finally, Stockpile places players in a Russian farm with a secret stash of WMDs.

The new zombies map, Escalation, will give players a new set of characters to play as.

The map pack is set to land in the Xbox Live Marketplace on May 3rd with no further information about PSN or PC launch dates. Pricing details have also been held back but I think it's safe to assume at this point that you can load $15 into your account in anticipation.
