Sony Announces Survival Mode For Resistance: Burning Skies

As the release date of Resistance: Burning Skies creeps closer and closer, Sony is slowly releasing more and more information about their Vita FPS. Today's news is regarding the multiplayer portion, which will include something called Survival mode along with the usual Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch modes.

In Survival, players will be divided into humans and Chimera. When a Chimera kills a human, the human becomes a Chimera. The last human alive is the winner.

Sound a little familiar? It should, even if you've never played Aliens vs. Predator. AVP sported a multiplayer mode called Infestation, where aliens would turn marines into aliens and the last marine alive would be the winner. However, it's still an interesting twist on the typical multiplayer matches, and it should prove to be fun.

Coupling along with the Survival announcement was a few preorder incentives. If you cast your lot with Burning Skies now, your multiplayer character will automatically start at Level 5 AND you'll receive three character avatars and a new lock screen theme.
