PSN Down For Scheduled Maintenance Monday

I wanted to use "PSN goes down like a $10 hooker" for the title of this article, but since this is scheduled maintenance, and cheap hookers rarely take care of themselves, I figured it didn't fit.

Instead I took the point-blank approach. So thank you for reading this post. Because, really, you could have just read the headline and been done with it. But no. You wanted more!

The maintenance started at 9AM EDT/6AM PDT and will last about 13 hours, so says Sony. Until then, anything related to the PlayStation Network, including the logins on some of their websites, will be inaccessible.

No reason was given for the maintenance, but here's a few things that definitely aren't the reason why:

  • Revamped PSN—Face it, we're stuck with this same ol' shit until the PS4.
  • Cross Game Chat—No. Just no. Buy a Vita if you want this (or an Xbox 360).
  • Insert Unwarranted Hype Here—You know you want to.

Nothing good is coming out of this. I promise you. Just drop it already. Besides, haven't you seen the ads all over GR this weekend? God of War IV is being revealed on the 18th—isn't that enough?
