Microsoft Rumored To Be Phasing Out MS Points

Rumor has it that Microsoft is planning on phasing out their current currency system, Microsoft Points, by the end of 2012, instead making content available in each country's native currency.

The move is likely due to two reasons: To bring the Windows Phone Marketplace more in-line with Apple's iTunes App Store and Android Market, and to reduce losses occuring due to fluctuations in other countries' exchange rates.

Microsoft uses MS Points on Xbox Live, Games for Windows Live, Zune, and Windows Phone.

Are you glad to see MS Points go?
