AT&T Adjusts Vita 3G Prices

During CES, AT&T announced their pricing plans for the 3G service for the PlayStation Vita. In case you need a refresher, the plans cost $15 for 250MB and $25 for 2GB of data, much like their data plans for the iPhone and iPad. According to the PlayStation blog, AT&T has had a slight change of heart.

They are keeping the first 3G plan of $15/month for 250MB, but they are increasing the second plan in both GB and $$. The second plan is now $30/month for 3GB.

It's a whole gigabyte more bang for 5 bucks. For those who may use some of the 3G functionality of games for multiplayer action and cross-texting, the extra gig may be well worth it. For me, personally, the 3G still doesn't appeal to me, because I really can't see me playing a game via multiplayer while I'm traveling. Wi-Fi will be more than enough; however, I still haven't decided if I'm going to get a Vita at all. But hey, if that's your bag baby, does the additional $5 make the extra gigabyte worth it?
