Humble Freedom Bundle Becomes Their Second Highest Seller Of All Time

Humble Bundles have raised a lot of money over the years, that's for sure, and that doesn't seem to be stopping any time soon. With Humble's Freedom Bundle, which included more than 40 indie games for at least a $30 donation, that money train has kept on going.

The Freedom Bundle, which raised money for the ACLU, the International Rescue Committee and Doctor's Without Borders, has raised more than $6.3 million, with an additional $300,000 matched by Humble Bundle. This passed a trio of bundles that made more than $5 million, including Humble Indie Bundle V, the first Star Wars Bundle and the Humble THQ Bundle, to become the Humble's second-best seller of all time.

Different from previous bundles, though, 100 percent of the money raised went to the three charities, with the developers who provided their games for the bundle doing so for no profit. At over 200,000 bundles sold, the Freedom Bundle also did this with much fewer people than previous entries, and they sold out of several titles, including Stardew Valley, en route to earning this total.

Despite its success, the Humble Freedom bundle still fell far short of approaching the record of $10.6 million set by the Humble Origin Bundle, which included then hot-ticket games such as Dead Space 3, Mirror's Edge and Battlefield 3.
