Resident Evil 7’s First DLC Packs Are PS4 Timed Exclusives

Resident Evil 7 launched today, and already dropped a huge bombshell about its post-launch content. In a detailed blog post on Capcom-Unity's website, the company said the first DLC pack will come to PS4 on Jan. 31, while the second pack will come to PS4 on Feb 14.

If you have the game on PC or Xbox One, you'll have to wait until Feb. 21 to play either one.

These DLC packs, called Banned Footage Vol. 1 & 2, include new game modes and story content, as detailed below:

Vol. 1

  • Bedroom: Figure out how to escape from a locked room – but don't let Marguerite Baker know you've been out of bed.
  • Nightmare: Fend off waves of enemies and survive until morning.
  • Ethan Must Die: A tough-as-nails mode separate from the tapes and story of the main game. (Does not support PSVR)

Vol. 2

  • 21: Gambe life and limb in a deadly game run by Lucas Baker.
  • Daughters: See what the Baker family was like before the tragic events of Resident Evil 7 biohazard.
  • Jack's 55th Birthday: Race against the clock and feed Jack tons of food in this comical extra game mode separate from the tapes and story of the main game. (Does not support PSVR)

Both DLC packs will be available to those who purchased the deluxe edition or the season pass, or Vol. 1 can be purchased for $9.99 and Vol. 2 for $14.99.
