Overwatch Meme From August Perfectly Predicts Chinese New Year Skins

An image from Overwatch's Chinese New Year event leaked earlier today in the form of an ad on a Chinese website, showing Roadhog, Reinhardt, Zenyatta and Winston all in garb reminiscent of the novel "Journey to the West."

The images look to be of high-quality, and Mei's Snowball Offensive from the Winter Wonderland event was leaked in a similar way, so I have no reason to doubt the authenticity of this leak.

You could also say that this event was leaked five months ago in a much different way. As pointed out by a Reddit user, someone posted the image below on what appears to be a Chinese forum showing Roadhog, Reinhardt, Zenyatta and Winston faces all photoshopped over people wearing Chinese garb.

See both images in the gallery below:

Of course, we'll find out on Tuesday the full extent of the skins, but many people are already complaining that the same heroes are getting the good skins every event, whereas heroes such as Genji, Zarya and Widomaker haven't gotten a good skin since the Summer Games event. They did finally give D.Va a cool event skin, which they haven't done since Summer either, so there's that.

For now, we do have to give Blizzard the benefit of the doubt, but it may end up being a lonely Chinese New Year at Overwatch for mains of those heroes.
