Report: Nintendo Switch Currently Has No Netflix Support

A customer service representative for Netflix confirmed today for a NeoGaf User that the Nintendo Switch currently does not support Netflix.

The NeoGaf user posted a screenshot of the customer service image, stating that "at this time, [the Switch] doesn't support Netflix. However we are taking feedback regarding this, this is to make Netflix aware of customers that inquire bout this or are interested in this."

If this is a long-term fate of the Nintendo Switch, it will be a huge hit to the overall functionality of the console and will undoubtedly affect those interested in purchasing it.

This would also be a major surprise because the Wii U had Netflix support at launch, making the Nintendo Switch an unfortunate step down from its predecessor.

Netflix, the movie and TV streaming service as more than 80 million worldwide subscribers, and it's available on the Nintendo 3DS, the PS Vita, the PS3, the PS4, the Xbox 360 and the Xbox One., with the Xbox and Sony devices being the top two most-used devices for Netflix steaming.

This would have been a great chance for Nintendo to eat into those numbers.
