Conan’s Clueless Gamer Might Get Its Own Show On TBS

Rumors are abound that Conan O'Brien's late night show, "Conan", didn't meet viewership expectations during the past year. Although unconfirmed, the rumors indicate that the show will become weekly instead of nightly. TBS boss Kevin Reilly has outright denied the rumors despite their widespread coverage.

As part of the supposed move, TBS will spinoff Clueless Gamer, one of the show's most popular segments. The spinoff will have its own time slot and increased attention from TBS following its monumental success on Conan.

Clueless Gamer showcases new video game releases by having Conan O'Brien play the game alongside one or more celebrity guests.

All three most recent Clueless Gamer episodes have over 2.5 million views on YouTube, the most popular of which features Mortal Kombat X with guests Marshawn Lynch and Rob Gronkowski. The video has over 16.5 million views, one of many reasons game publishers have looked at the segment as a marketing opportunity.

Clueless Gamer co-host Aaron Bleyaert has regularly livestreamed on sites including Twitch.tv with guests. The livestreams have received strong support, indicating growth potential to TBS.
