You Can Play Battlefield 1 Starting Today

It wouldn't be farfetched to say that Battlefield 1 is this month's biggest release. Hype has been strong since its original announcement, persisting through beta. It goes without saying that many gamers want to play the game now. What they might not know is that it is.

Although EA scheduled the Battlefield 1 Trial to unlock on October 13th, it has released a day early. It's unclear if this is intentional, but there are already thousands of players who have logged in and played the game's final version.

To download the 40GB/50GB game and begin playing, all you need to do is sign up for Origin Access. Due to this requirement, it is only available to Xbox One and PC players.

The currently available content is as follows:

  • Maps: St. Quentin Scar, Amiens, Fao Fortress, Sinai Desert, Suez
  • Modes: Conquest, Rush, Operations, Domination
  • Campaign: Storm of Steel, Through Mud and Blood

Progress will be carried over to launch. The only catch is that you can only play for 10 hours. Once that time is up, you will be locked out of launching the game. The official release is October 21st, more than a week from today.

Origin Access costs $4.99/month and has been recognized as a great deal by many gamers. To learn more and sign up, see here.
