Twitch Prime Introduces Loot, Ad-Free Viewing and Free Channel Subscription For Amazon Prime Subscribers

It's been more than two years since Amazon acquired Twitch. While to this point the acquisition hasn't resulted in particularly noticeable changes, today that changes in a big way.

Twitch Prime has been introduced to the Amazon portfolio. This allows Amazon Prime subscribers to earn three major perks when utilizing Twitch. These perks are as follows:

  • Free in-game loot every month, plus surprises – You'll get characters, vehicles, skins, and boosts for games like Hearthstone and Smite, plus surprises like a copy of Streamline the day it launches.
  • Ad-free viewing plus a free channel subscription every 30 days – Support your favorite streamer, plus get exclusive emotes, more chat colors, and crown yourself with the chat badge of royalty.

These benefits are particularly substantial. Channel subscriptions usually cost around $4.99/month, which is roughly half the cost of a monthly Amazon Prime subscription. The ad-free viewing and loot are just a cherry on top.

Amazon Prime offers both monthly payments at $10.99/month, or annual payments at $99/year.
