Microsoft in Talks with Comcast, Verizon for Xbox TV

"Xbox, Play Over-Priced Television Services You Can Get Via Cable!" is something you'll be saying to your Kinect soon, according to a new rumor. As Microsoft continues to push the Xbox 360 as the all-encompassing living room device, they are looking toward the companies you likely already have in your living rooms now to bring their services to the upcoming Xbox TV platform.

Digiday reports via multiple sources that Microsoft is currently in talks with cable TV content providers Comcast and Verizon to bring their content to Xbox TV. The deal would allow the Xbox 360 to deliver either company's services through the console without the need for a separate set-top box. The UI could theoretically be controlled via Kinect, offering a more intuitive experience.

Soon, I'll be able to tell my Xbox 360 to DVR all episodes of Jersey Shore just by fist-pumping. Thanks, Kinect
