When Uncharted 2: Among Thieves sold three million units within four months it was seen as a huge triumph at the time. But Nathan Drake and Naughty Dog have grown in popularity since that 2009 release, and this month have achieved something perhaps even more remarkable.
Sony has confirmed that Uncharted 4: A Thief's End has accumulated 2.7 million sales within one week. This accounts for both digital and physical sales, and specifically regards sell-through to consumers.
This achievement makes Uncharted 4 the fastest-selling title in the franchise, and on the PS4.
The Uncharted franchise has a history of selling well over time, with Uncharted 2 and Uncharted 3 totaling at over 17 million units worldwide. The same will likely occur with Uncharted 4, pushing it into the 7 to 10 million region.
