Electronic Arts Giving Away DLC for Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline

Electronic Arts has announced, through its new "Road to Battlefield" promotion, that it will be giving away expansion packs for both Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline "over the next few months."

These previously released expansion packs will be made free for players on both current-gen and last-gen consoles, specifically Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4, and PC via Origin.

In particular, Battlefield 4 Dragon's Teeth, which focuses on four Asian-Pacific maps, will be free and available until May 10. Dragon's Teeth brings the new game mode, Chain Link, which asks teams to capture and link together various points on the map, as well as a new gadget called the R.A.W.R., an unmanned ground vehicle with a grenade launcher and machine gun.

This promotion coincides with the world premiere for the next Battlefield title to be revealed on Friday, May 6. You can take a "first look at the future of Battlefield" on its official Twitch channel at 4pm EST.
