Many gamers have been under the impression that Call of Duty is losing popularity. That couldn't be further from the truth if November 2015's NPD Group numbers are to be believed.
According to NPD Group, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 was the best-selling game of the month. In the process it surpassed last year's remarkable Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare figures, and is currently on-track to achieve lifetime sales reminiscent of the original Call of Duty: Black Ops, a title that has accumulated over 14 million sales to-date.
Its fiercest competition came from Fallout 4, which performed 70% better than Fallout: New Vegas, and Star Wars: Battlefront's two million copies in North America.
Surprisingly enough Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 sold better on Xbox One despite Sony having an exclusive marketing deal. Fallout 4 saw similar results, selling better on PS4.
PS4 took the top spot for hardware during the month, but Xbox One performed admirably selling more than 1.23 million units. This resulted in growth for hardware year-over-year.
