The commercial, which can be viewed above, features some color commentary in an effort to appeal to the NBA and NHL viewers out there. Let's not forget that Hearthstone also emphasizes intense competition.
The NHL finals begin tonight at 5pm PST as the Chicago Blackhawks take on the Tampa Bay Lightning. The NBA finals air tomorrow night at 6:00pm PST with the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers.
Hearthstone has a way of appealing to both casual game players and the more invested video game fans out there. So it wouldn't be surprising to see the commercial increase the player count in the coming weeks.
