Here’s Why Splatoon Won’t Have Voice Chat

Splatoon won't have voice chat for online multiplayer, which has undoubtedly upset a number of Nintendo fans hungry for some competitive Wii U fun.

As for why the game won't include this feature, Splatoon director Yusuke Amano explained that he didn't want Nintendo gamers to deal with the negativity that comes with online chat. "This is coming from personal experience," he told Edge (via GameSpot).

"When I played online games, I didn't like the negativity I got and people telling me, 'You're crap. Go away.' So we wanted to focus on the positive aspects of online gaming."

How do you feel about Splatoon's lack of multiplayer? Is it a deal-breaker for you?
