Playtonic Interested in Collaborating With Rare

Playtonic Games, the developer comprised of former Rare employees currently working on a spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie, knows what Rare is making for Xbox One and believes gamers will be pleased with the end product.

“I still chat to them, I know what they were working on when I left last year. It sounds really good," Playtonic studio head and former Rare employee Gavin Price told The Guardian. “I want them to do well. They’re mates and we left them behind to come and do this. I’m looking forward to what they’re doing next – people will be really happy to see it."

Interestingly enough, Playtonic is entertaining the possibility of one day collaborating with Rare. "You never know, there are some good old mates of ours down the road, they may might want to do a little multi-studio collaboration," Price said. "We’re just going to be open minded. We’re not trying to look too far ahead. We’ll make the right decision when we get there."

Playtonic Games is currently working on a game called "Project Ukulele," which will begin seeking Kickstarter funding in May
