Geralt’s Beard Grows Over Time in The Witcher 3

Developer CD Projekt RED has confirmed that in its upcoming game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Geralt's beard will grow as you play the game.

"The beard grows as time passes and when Geralt moves between locations," CD Projekt's Michał Platkow-Gilewski told Eurogamer. "The beard has several 'states' and these states determine its length – the longest is really long but it's not Gandalf-long."

Additionally, the developer plans to release a DLC pack that allows players to customize the character's facial hair. "When you download the free Beard and Hairstyle DLC the growth of the beard will stop because we decided that when players want a predefined look, it would be weird to require from them to reapply it time after time," he added.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is set for release this May on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
