And the Big Halo 5: Guardians Reveal Was…

Last week, developer 343 Industries launched a teaser site counting down to what Halo fans assumed would be a significant reveal regarding the upcoming fifth entry in the series. Sadly, what we got instead was an early look at the Halo 5: Guardians marketing campaign.

If you head over to the aforementioned website, you'll notice there's an audio clip from a fictional character named Benjamin Giraud, who describes himself as being a "journalist and war photographer" who has "seen the absolute worst of humanity."

Giraud has been hired to do an in-depth profile on the Master Chief, which is undoubtedly 343i's way of introducing fans to the narrative of Halo 5, in which we find Spartan 117 facing challenges he's never experienced before.

Halo 5: Guardians launches later this year, exclusively for Xbox One.
