Sony Files Yet Another Trademark for The Last Guardian

Sony has filed a third trademark for The Last Guardian, Japan Studios' long-delayed action adventure game staring a young boy and his giant winged companion.

After mistakenly letting the trademark expire, Sony filed for the name again on March 12 with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The PlayStation manufacturer is currently awaiting approval.

It's hard to believe, but Sony first announced The Last Guardian all the way back in 2009 for PlayStation 3. Since then, gamers have seen very little of the title, as the project has undergone a number of revisions behind the scenes and even a few changes in leadership.

At this point, if the game ever does actually come out, there's no doubt it will be for PlayStation 4.
