Xbox One March Update Adds Screenshot Feature [Update: Rolling Out Now]

[Update] The Xbox One system update for March, which adds the long-awaited screenshot feature, is now rolling out to Live users, Microsoft has confirmed.

What are you waiting for? Hop on and enjoy all the new changes!

[Original] The ability to capture screenshots is coming to Xbox One next month in the March system update.

According to Major Nelson, you'll be able to take screenshots "by simply double-tapping the Xbox button on your controller to capture a screenshot and pressing Y to save the screenshot." Meanwhile, those who have a Kinect "can also say 'Xbox Take a Screenshot' to take and save a screenshot."

Other changes are coming in the March update, including tile transparency and the addition of a suggested friends feature. For all the details, check out the overview video below.

Head of Xbox Phil Spencer teased the screenshot feature not too long ago, so its addition next month should not be all that much of a shock. Regardless, let us know in the comments whether or not you're planning on taking advantage of this feature when it goes live next month.
