World of Tanks Is Coming to Xbox One This Year

World of Tanks, the free-to-play tank combat game from Wargaming, is coming to Xbox One in 2015.

Better yet, those on the new-gen version of the title will be able to play with folks on Xbox 360, as cross-generation support will bridge the two communities on Microsoft's gaming platforms.

World of Tanks will be available as a free download for Xbox Live Gold subscribers, and those with the Xbox 360 version can upgrade and transfer all their data to the Xbox One version. Naturally, there will be plenty of in-game goodies you can purchase, should you wish to throw the developer some cash.

There's no specific release date nailed down just yet, but the title is expected to arrive sometime later this year.
