Rise of the Tomb Raider Will Feature Dynamic Weather, Lots of Traversal

Rise of the Tomb Raider game director Brian Horton has shared a few nuggets of exciting information on Lara Croft's next epic adventure.

As we already knowRise of the Tomb Raider takes Lara Croft to Siberia where she must brave its harsh snowy conditions. In fact, this new entry in the series will feature a dynamic weather and day system that influences when certain types of hostile wildlife will appear.

Additionally, Horton confirmed to Game Informer that Lara will be able to upgrade her gear once again,  this time with multiple types of bows to choose from. That said, exploration will still be a major part of the experience too, as players will have to skillfully traverse the environment to reach their next objective.

Snow will play a major role in the experience as well, as Lara can use it to dig trenches for shelter or even track animals by their fading footprints. That's the power of next-gen snow technology for ya!

Rise of the Tomb Raider is set to launch this holiday season on Xbox 360 and Xbox One. How do you think Crystal Dynamics' upcoming adventure will compare to Uncharted 4?
