[Update] During a developer session at EGX Rezzed, the folks over at Playtonic Games released a new teaser image providing a slightly more revealing look at one of the characters in its upcoming game, currently codenamed "Project Ukulele."
Give the lizard-esque creature a look above, and be sure to let us know what you think of this mysterious monster in the comments below.
Unfortunately, Playtonic wouldn't reveal any specifics about the game's cast, as sharing too much about the pair of playable characters will apparently spoil some of the gameplay surprises.

[Original] It's been seven years since the last Banjo-Kazooie game, but new indie studio Playtonic Games plans to fill that void with its upcoming "Project Ukulele," a spiritual successor to the series.
The latest issue of EDGE magazine features an interview with Playtonic, a team comprised of former Rare designers. They currently have six people on staff, though they hope to increase that number over time.
Apparently Playtonic already has funding for the game, though they don't rule out the possibility of working with a publisher. In fact, they specifically mention Nintendo in the interview and say, "There's a history of working with Nintendo so we'd naturally love to see our game on a Nintendo platform."
Playtonic plans to release "Project Ukulele" on Steam Early Access and consoles as well. There are no further details at the moment, though fans will likely want to keep an eye on the studio's recently launched website.
