SEGA Releases Teaser for New Sonic Game

SEGA has released a teaser trailer for a new Sonic game. It's called Sonic Runners and is coming to iOS and Android devices in Japan later this year.

As is the case with most mobile games these days, Sonic Runners will be a free-to-play title that makes its money off of in-app purchases. For more on the game, check out the trailer below.

There's no word on whether or not the game will be coming to the west, but I can't imagine why SEGA wouldn't want to reach as broad an audience as possible.

The company just recently announced that it would be downsizing and refocusing its efforts on PC and digital titles from here on out. It looks like SEGA is changing, though, not necessarily for the better in the eyes of hardcore gamers.
