The Monopoly Go Hot Rod Partners event is scheduled to go live on March 8. If it’s like past co-op partner mini-games, like the Valentine’s Partners event, it will likely start early in the day at around 5:00 AM PT / 8:00 AM ET, perhaps even earlier. If it does arrive before the main event and tournament for March 8 refreshes, we recommend that you don’t trying getting tokens (probably wheel tokens) on the board. This is just in case you know what spaces you need to land on for those events, as the partners tokens on the board might overlap.
As always, the Hot Rod Partners event will ask you to find four other players who will help you in accumulating points together by spinning a wheel that uses partners tokens. We recommend using partners that you have liked before or those with high recommendations or reputations from other communities on Discord or Reddit. By default, the ideal partnership is 50/50 where you and your partner will get half of the 80,000 points total, but you can also ask for a full carry (mainly in exchange for stickers). Here is a rundown of the rewards and milestone that you can grab for the Hot Rod Partners co-op partners event for Monopoly Go on iOS and Android.
What are the Monopoly Go Hot Rod Partners milestones and rewards?
The following are the five tiers of milestone rewards for the Hot Rod Partners event for Monopoly Go. This list repeats itself across four separate partnerships, and if you can complete all of the partnerships, you will earn the Grand Prize. We’re not entirely certain whether the rewards below are correct, so we have placed an asterisk (*) on them until we get confirm them.
- *2500 Event Points – 200 Free Dice Rolls
- *8500 Event Points – Cash
- *21500 Event Points – Pink Vault: 200-300 Free Dice Rolls + Cash
- *48000 Event Points – Blue Vault: High Roller Boost + 300-500 Free Dice Rolls + 4-Star Blue Sticker Pack
- *80000 Event Points – Orange Vault: Cash + 400-600 Free Dice Rolls + 5-Star Purple Sticker Pack
The Grand Prize looks to include a new board token called the Diamond Dragster. It’s a yellow, old-fashioned automobile, similar to a Model T car, and looks like the tokens you can win by completing the Monopoly Origins sticker album once or twice. The exception is that the top of the car has a diamond-like crest. We also wouldn’t be surprised if the Grand Prize also has a Wild Sticker or a Galaxy Pack. [Update: The Grand Prize will include the Diamond Dragster token, 5000 free dice rolls, and a Wild Sticker.]
Compared to the rewards track for Valentine’s Partners, the ones here are a nice upgrade. The last reward has a 5-star purple sticker pack instead of merely a 4-star blue sticker pack. We’re not certain how long the High Roller boost will be, but it will be great to save either for grabbing wheel tokens on the board or earning event points for main events and tournaments.
We don’t believe that there will be any extra mini-game after you complete the four partnerships, so it’s up to you how fast you want to finish the co-op event.
As usual, the majority of the tokens are earned through milestones for main events and tournaments. You can also earn a small amount of tokens by completing Quick Wins objectives and the free gifts from the in-game store. For High Roller boosts, you can grab many tokens that are randomly placed on the board with the highest x1000 multiplier, much like main event banners that ask you to grab pickup tokens. You’ll also earn a large number from your partners whenever they land on the Partner spaces on the wheel, which you can accept from the timeline. There usually aren’t any links with direct event currency, but there will be a lot of free dice links during the event.
