Nightingale Portal Not Working Bug Fix Solution Opening Won't Open Stuck Tutorial Glitch

Nightingale Portal Not Working Bug: How to Fix Portal Not Opening in Tutorial

A frustrating Nightingale portal not working bug for Steam Early Access is preventing players from finishing the tutorial. After killing all the enemies in the swamp world after defeating multiple waves of monsters, a portal is supposed to appear, but it doesn’t open. A quest objective says that you need to “open the portal and defend yourself” and states that this should let you “venture into an abeyance realm.” This glitch completely prevents players from progressing further in the game. Developer Inflexion Games is aware of the issue on PC and is working on a solution. In the meantime, though, you can try the following fix to solve the Nightingale portal not opening glitch and see if it works for you.

How to fix Nightingale portal not working bug

In order to fix the portal not working or opening bug in Nightingale, you need to start a new character and hope that the portal appears during the tutorial.

This has reportedly helped several players in the Steam discussion forums and the bug section of the Inflexion Games board on Sleekplan. However, this solution is not a guaranteed fix, since it’s possible that the portal still won’t open, which would result in you wasting your time trying to get through it again.

Some players have reported spending upwards of four hours making new characters, but still can’t through the tutorial section. Sure, Nightingale is in Steam Early Access so some bugs are expected, but this is a game-breaking glitch.

Some surmise that the issue is due to the laggy servers and that it takes too much time for the server to create a randomly generated realm. Troubleshooting this is a bit strange since the bug impacts some players but not others. If creating a new character doesn’t work for you, we recommend simply waiting until Inflexion Games comes out with an official patch. Given the severity of the issue, it should be at the top of their list of priorities.
