Battleslate Games has yet again introduced a huge list of changes and fixes for Escape from Tarkov with patch 0.14.1.0 notes. However, when it comes to new content, players did not receive much as per the update.
Moreover, Battleslate Games also plans to introduce microtransactions to the game, which has left the player base divided. Most of the changes introduced by developers include balancing weapons and mainly, armor consistency.

Ever since the last wipe, Escape from Tarkov players have been complaining about the revamped armor system. While most of it has been useful, some game-breaking bugs have left players in frustration. Most of the changes and fixes target those specific glitches and bugs to ensure fair play.
The most notable change would be damage reduction per bullet upon penetration through each layer of armor. In simpler terms, bullets will have less power and impact when going through separate layers of armor.
As for changes in the game’s audio, the sound positioning system has been adjusted on modes like Ground Zero and Streets of Tarkov. The game also changed the following body armor integrated components and plate carriers to class 3:

- Ars Arma CPC MOD.1 plate carrier
- Crye Precision CPC plate carrier (Goons Edition)
- NPP KlASS Bagariy plate carrier
- ANA Tactical M2 plate carrier
- Crye Precision AVS plate carrier
- Crye Precision AVS plate carrier (Tagilla Edition)
- 5.11 Tactical TacTec plate carrier
The recent Escape from Tarkov patch notes also include several changes to gunplay mechanics. These include readjusted recoil for pistols, shotguns, and the SKS Carbine rifle and several separate graphical improvements. For players frustrated with finding random empty containers, the developers have reduced the chances of encountering one.
Players who did not purchase the Edge of Darkness edition of the Escape from Tarkov will be able to purchase access to the practice co-op mode using microtransactions. The developers have also added other options for microtransactions, such as purchasing additional stash lines.
