How to beat Reaper for the best Persona 3 Reload XP farm
Defeating the Reaper boss is by far the best Persona 3 Reload XP farm, but you’ll first need to wait around the midgame where you gain access to Floor 67 in Tartarus. Here are the steps you need to follow to have the Reaper spawn and then to beat it:
- Reach Floor 66 and 67 in Tartarus. A cutscene involving Fuuka needs to play and a tutorial explanation on the Reaper needs to pop up before this boss will appear.
- Earn an Arcana Burst. You’ll want to pull the Major Arcana cards during Shuffle Time until you draw both The Fool for extra XP and the rest of the cards to get an Arcana Burst. This will increase the XP boost from the Wand cards.
- Wait around on Floor 67 until the Reaper appears.
- Turn the difficulty of the game in the System settings down to Peaceful. This will essentially make it impossible for your character to die.
- Encounter the Reaper and continue to deal damage (it may take a while) until the boss dies.
- Choose the Wand card in Shuffle Time for the XP boost.
- Earn an incredible amount of XP for your entire party.
If done correctly, you will earn upwards of 630,000 XP in total. You’ll also get the Bloody Button as a treasure that you can sell. Note that increasing your party members up to around Level 80 will make the rest of the game pretty easy. It’s up to you if you want to revert the difficulty back to your regular setting (unless it was on Merciless – in which case you can’t).
