Palworld Cross-play Cross-Platform Cross-Progression

Palworld Cross-Play: Does it Have Cross-Progression and Cross-Platform Multiplayer?

Cross-play in Palworld allows players on different platforms to play together within the same game world. This means friends with Xbox, Microsoft Store (PC), and eventually Steam versions of Palworld can team up and explore, battle, and build together.

Currently, cross-play is only possible between Xbox and Microsoft Store/PC Game Pass versions. Unfortunately, Steam players are currently excluded and cannot play with users on other platforms due to version differences.

Does Palworld have cross-play?

Yes, Palworld does have cross-play. Unfortunately, this feature is limited to specific platforms.

  • Xbox and Microsoft Store/PC Game Pass: Yes, these versions support cross-play. This allows players on both platforms to play together.
  • Steam: Unfortunately, no. Steam players cannot play with users on Xbox or Microsoft Store/PC Game Pass at this time.

However, there is good news for Steam players. The developers are working on adding Steam cross-play, though they haven’t confirmed an exact date for its arrival. So, it’s just a matter of waiting for cross play among players to be available on Steam.

Does Palworld have cross-progression?

Yes, Palworld does have cross-progression, but it’s only supported between specific platforms.

  • Xbox and Microsoft Store/PC Game Pass: These versions share cross-progression, allowing your saved game to switch between platforms thanks to cloud saves seamlessly.
  • Steam: Progress made on Steam is isolated and cannot be transferred to other platforms.

There’s currently no official word on whether cross-progression will be available for Steam in the future. However, as cross-play with Steam is coming eventually, there’s a possibility that cross-progression might get added later down the line.
